SUBEB/BESDA embark on Advocacy campaign to Katagum, Misau, Jama’are, Ningi Emirates.
The Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board Alhaji Adamu Mohammad Duguri has appealed to the traditional leaders in the state to provide necessary support and cooperation for the government to ensure quality education in the state.
Alhaji Adamu Mohammad Duguri made the plea when he embarked on an Advocacy visit to the Emirs of Ningi, Katagum, Jama’are and Misau on school enrollment, safety and education facilities maintenance across the state
While lamenting the mismanagement of huge funds released to SUBEB by government at all levels particularly under BESDA in the past, the chairman urged for the inputs of the traditional leaders to achieve the set objectives
He told the traditional leaders that some constructed classrooms in the state have decayed because of nonchalant attitudes of community taken ownership and usage, urging for team up with the government in mobilizing children to go to school.
He reminded parents about the necessity to send their children and wards to school, emphasizing that education was indisputable, the foundation of life and development in the society.
In their responses, the Emirs of Ningi Alhaji Ynusa Muhammadu Danyaya, Katagum Alhaji Alhaji Umar Faruk and Jama’Are Alhaji Nuhu Wabi, Misau Ahmed Sulaiman thanked the state chairman of SUBEB for the advocacy visit assuring their readiness to give the necessary cooperation to the state government to achieve its developmental goals.
