Executive Chairman meets with Stakeholders
The Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Duguri has said that efficient leadership and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators remain key to achieve the Basic Education Sector Transformation agenda of Governor Bala Mohammed
Similarly, the Executive chairman attributed the poor rate of children literacy in the state to nonchalant attitude of stakeholders to take their full responsibilities and vowed to address it forthwith
Alhaji Adamu Duguri stated this during his maiden meeting with the SUBEB stakeholders’ engagement session held at the board conference hall.
The Executive Chairman noted that, the stakeholder meeting was to familiarize themselves and to discuss new strategic focus for SUBEB programme
He further noted that efficiency on the part of all education stakeholders is crucial to driving education reforms and urged them to play their part in improving children literacy in the state
The Chairman noted that SUBEB under his leadership would not tolerate any form of neglects from neither staff or teachers and warned them against truancy to ensure the sustainability of the programme with the ultimate aim of improving learning outcomes
He also pledged to focus attention on improving and measuring learning outcomes by leveraging on teachers to ensure students acquire qualitative knowledge and good moral conduct
Earlier, the SUBEB permanent secretary Alhaji Saleh Yakubu Ningi assured the readiness of the board staff to support the newly posted chairman to succeed on his leadership of improving the basic knowledge of students in the state
He also called on state government to provide good working environment for teachers to enable them to discharge their duties effectively.
